Happy One Month Birthday!

As I write this I can hardly believe that Landry is already 1 month old. It seems like just yesterday we were heading to the hospital to meet her. The past few weeks have been so amazing for us. Bentley was able to take off work for 3 weeks so we got to spend that time together as a family of 3. It was so nice to have him home during those first few weeks as we all adjusted to our new routines.

Landry had her two week checkup on May 22, 2012. Before this visit we knew she had already gained back to her birth weight so we knew she was doing well.

Weight - 7 pounds 13 ounces
Length - 21 inches
Head - 14.5 inches

We really like our pediatrician and she has been so helpful in giving us new things to try with feeding, sleeping and general tips to make life easier with a new baby. Landry is sleeping really well at night and giving us longer stretches between feedings.

At this age it seems that she changes so quickly and is becoming more alert each day. Landry is starting to be awake more and more, is responding to sounds, loves to kick her feet and move her arms (so much so that we have to swaddle her for bed time and naps). She likes to watch her mobile in her crib and she loves to swing or sit in her bouncer. Since the first week she was home she has had great neck control and enjoys tummy time. She has also started to make some noises and makes hilarious faces. We are starting to learn her different cries and better figure out what she wants. We have let her play on her play mat a few times and she loves to look at herself in the mirror that hangs down and has been trying to grab it.

Landry-
In one one short month we can't imagine our life without you. We love watching you discover new things and find your personality. We love you so much and have enjoyed every minute with you. God blessed our family when he made you our daughter.

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
